... a creative. I draw, I write, I sing, do comedy, and advocate for the things I believe in: gun safety, women’s rights, the environment.  I have a long-running humour column … a line of RBG-inspired clothing: RBGgirls that I sell online (see RBG Tribute page.) And, I look forward to doing more stand-up comedy and concerts – I love singing live … trying new comedy bits out on an audience.  It makes me step up to a plate that can turn upside down on a dime. As Neale Donald Walsch said: “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” I couldn’t agree more.

I’ve won an ACTRA award for Best Television Variety Writer for the adaptation of my stage musical: “Clowns.” My comedy radio show, “Fireside Stories from Lake WhaddayathinkImean,” was honoured by the NCRA. I received two FEO (Festival & Events Ontario) awards for “Best Promotional Campaign” and “Best New Festival or Event” for “Colourfest” a fall festival I rebranded, re-created and promoted.  I have voiced hundreds of commercials and jingles plus numerous characters on animation series, written for animation: Thundercats and Silverhawks, CBC’s comedy and family series: “Hangin’ In,” “Flappers,” and “Danger Bay.” Appeared in films and television variety, comedy, and drama series. My novel, “Vessie Flamingo Outshining the Moon” and “Maybelle’s Cure for What Ails You” (a compilation of 25 of my humour columns) are alive and well and living at amazon.com (see writer’s page).

Now, I take turns writing, singing, making art, advocating. And, since my trigger finger has healed … I can start playing ukulele again!
